Our lending and environmental, social and governance (ESG) impacts
The partnerships we forge with borrowers are based on a mutual commitment to deliver innovative developments with a focus on wellbeing for the student communities they serve.
Student Mental Health and Wellbeing
We know that the pandemic has had a big impact on student and university communities. In Student Minds latest research, they found that 74% of students reported that Covid-19 has had a negative impact on their mental health and wellbeing.
We also know that student accommodation plays a vital role in the overall student experience. We are therefore committed to working with borrowers who strive to provide spaces for students to thrive academically, socially and psychologically.
Working with Borrowers to Make a Difference
All of our loan facilities include financial incentivisation for borrowers to deliver initiatives which support the positive mental health and wellbeing of student residents.
This is achieved through the design, the provision of amenity spaces and the ongoing management of the properties to ensure that students feel safe, secure, healthy and happy in their accommodation.
